What is a Reformation Society?

Reformation Societies are part of The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (www.alliancenet.org). The focus of these groups is modern reformation in the church--to call the church today to repentance and Biblical reformation. Our focus is not only where we have strayed and need to repent, but also where we are being faithful and need to remain true. The concerns of the group transcend denominational lines. Our unity is found in the truths and concerns laid out in a contemporary declaration of the Five Solas of the Reformation, called The Cambridge Declaration (www.reformed.org/documents/cambridge.html). We identify with the historic church in affirming the Westminster Confession of Faith and the 1689 Baptist Confession. We uphold the gospel of salvation by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, on the authority of the Word of God alone, to the glory of God alone.

Feel free to check us out and see if this would be any encouragement to you in your local church ministry. (Our main concern is encouraging and strengthening our local churches!) We are excited as we see God bringing together a supportive network of like-minded brethren from around our area.
